Announcement posted by Lighthouse Foundation 03 Jun 2003

Lighthouse Foundation landed a hole-in-one at the Veritas Dr Golf Charity Classic held on 21 May at Victoria Golf Club, Cheltenham, Victoria.
Over $22,000 was raised for Lighthouse, taking the total amount of money raised through the event over the past four years to an amazing $172,000.
Lighthouse Foundation provides long-term care and support within a family/community environment to young people aged 15 to 22 years who may otherwise be homeless, with Lighthouse Homes in Bendigo, Ballarat, Cheltenham, East Malvern, Geelong, Richmond and Springvale.
Graham Davies (aka Dr Golf), a long time supporter of Lighthouse, said he created this high profile golfing and social event to enable all involved the opportunity to give something back to the community. The event was generously supported by Veritas, Quantam, EMC, Hilton on the Park, Melbourne, along with a number of well know celebrities - Gavin Wood, Russell Morris, Jim Keays, Darryl Cotton, Ray Gilson, Ben Dodwell, Bruno Lucia, John Blackman, Stan Alves and Livinia Nixon.
Lighthouse Foundation, Founder Susan Barton said, This is a tremendous result for Lighthouse, Graham is such a wonderful example of how one person can make a big difference for our young people. To everyone that has made a contribution to the success of this event, I thank you sincerely. Your efforts are directly responsible for providing a safe and loving family environment for a greatly disadvantaged young person in our community.
