Brazilian Seaster Swimwear now available in Australia

Announcement posted by Seaster 20 Mar 2015

Seaster is not just a brand of women's swimwear; it was created for those women who demand function and comfort and are passionate about the sea and water sports.

Seaster is excited to announce that the 2015 range is now available in Australia for the first time.

Melina & Giovanna Franchini, CEO of Seaster and the visionary behind the Seaster range:

“We felt there was a need for a brand to suit the “mermaid women” like us: passionate about the sea and water sports. The clothing we need for these purposes, commonly known as wetsuits, need to be functional, comfortable and, of course, have style and grace.

Since we were little, we have always loved the sea and water sports. We surf, dive and stand-up paddle. The name Seaster came from this strong connection; the perfect combination of the words “sea” and “sister”.

Besides our love for the sea and water sports, we also love fashion. We want to look good when practicing sports, but we do not want, and cannot afford, to lose comfort.

We created Seaster for the women who want to perform to a high standard in water sports always feeling comfortable, feeling good in their body and looking great.”

Torquay based Brazilian born CEO Carol Donadio agreed with Melina Franchini and realised that Australian women also share this strong bond with the ocean...and so Seaster Australia was born.

Inspired by the youthful exuberance of 70’s surfing culture of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Seaster surfs the waves of fashion from that era, bringing to the summer of 2015 its most important collection since the launch of the brand.

With a modern look, our products explore and reveal all the possibilities that technology offers today. Innovation can be seen in the use of materials and fabrics, such as Neoprene, in creations that combine comfort, strength, sensuality and personality. All our designs are strong, durable and flattering without sacrificing comfort and wellbeing.

Take, for instance, our widely acclaimed ‘Surf Print’ Longboard wetsuit. The print is a mix of flowers and waves, designed exclusively for Seaster by Patricia Sodre, designer and longboarder. Created from a strong, yet flexible neoprene fabric, the wetsuit has exposed zip front closure, long sunsmart sleeves, is fully lined and comes with the exclusive Seaster metal clip.

The Seaster range consists of one piece suits both with and without sleeves, mix and match two piece bikini combinations, reversible two piece bikinis and neoprene wetsuits.

The entire Seaster Swimwear range is available online at www.seaster.com.au and will be available in select shops from March this year.
