Announcement posted by PR Deadlines 26 Mar 2015
HOBART, March 26. Tasmanian communications and cloud services provider TasmaNet and leading Microsoft Dynamics ERP Gold Partner UXC Eclipse have formed a partnership to deliver intelligent business solutions in software-as-a-service (SaaS) mode. Their first customer is a ‘substantial’ Tasmanian Government department.
“The partnership has synergies for both companies, as well as UXC’s customers,” said Joel Harris, Managing Director of TasmaNet. “They have the skills and the applications, while we provide the infrastructure and backup facilities.”
William Moore, Senior Executive – Enterprise Solutions and Services for UXC said, “The relationship forms a launch pad giving UXC better access to Tasmanian government. Our first government engagement wanted a seamless relationship with a single supplier, and TasmaNet partnership provides this as they are known and trusted in government.
Moore added, “The SaaS partnership will also generate general business and revenue in Tasmania and on the mainland, underpinned by TasmaNet’s secure cloud services.”
The partnership will promote Microsoft solutions from UXC Eclipse: the SharePoint web application framework and platform; and Microsoft Dynamics enterprise resource planning (ERP) and relationship management (CRM) applications. The partners see these solutions expanding business beyond customers that simply utilise TasmaNet’s platform, infrastructure and investment in cloud services.
“Outside government, many Tasmanian organisations lack sufficient depth of skills and resources to manage their business platforms, and our partnership with UXC Eclipse supplies these,” said Harris. “Customers no longer need to worry about managing their public-facing web sites, instead they can focus on business. Our customers now have a single vendor to deal with (UXC Eclipse) and a single invoice.”
The Tasmanian State Government is encouraging organisations to deal with local business, and TasmaNet is locally owned, managed and staffed, while UXC Eclipse has a presence in the island State.
