New Java-Based, Modular, Element Management System

Paclink announces that RAD Data Communications has launched RADview-EMS, a Java-based, modular, client server, scalable element management system, providing secure configuration and fault management capabilities.
Scalable Management Solution
The client-server architecture of RADview-EMS allows for distribution of client and server functions to separate computers in the network, maximising the use of infrastructure by implementing load sharing among a number of servers. This provides a scalable management solution as the network grows over time, as additional services can be added to expand the system. Moreover, server redundancy increases network management resilience.
Flexible Integration with Other Network Management Systems
RADview-EMS provides a COBRA northbound interface, which simplifies integration in to higher layer management applications or OSS. RADview-EMS can coexist with
RADview-HPOV and RADview-PC element managers on HP Open View and SNMPc platforms, respectively, allowing management of heterogeneous networks, with the added benefit of topology management and colour-coded fault indication capabilities.
Increases Management Capabilities
RADview-EMS features enhanced fault management capabilities such as alarm filtering and forwarding, as well as advanced security mechanisms, supporting scope of command and span of control, assuring better access control to network resources.
