BEYOND BANK LAUNCHES HUNTER NATURAL DISASTER APPEAL WITH $50,000 DONATION

Beyond Bank Australia has today launched a Hunter Natural Disaster Appeal to raise money to help people affected by the recent severe storms.

“Beyond Bank is very much a part of the communities affected by these storm events and we want to assist and support our communities in these times of need,” Beyond Bank Chief Executive Officer, Robert Keogh said. “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storms that occurred over the past few days.”

To help those impacted in the Hunter region, leading customer-owned Beyond Bank has kicked off a fundraising appeal with a $50,000 donation from the Beyond Bank Foundation. 

It is urging others who can help, to make a donation to the Appeal at any Beyond Bank branch or by calling 13 25 85. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

“Australians have a long and proud history of helping one another when disaster strikes. While there is a lot of work to do rebuilding and cleaning up after the storms, I am confident we will come together as a community to support those hardest hit,” Mr Keogh said.

Beyond Bank will pass on 100% of all funds raised and work with local community agencies to ensure funds go where they will have the greatest benefit.

“We also want to make sure the members of Beyond Bank who live in the Hunter region know they can come in and talk to us if they are concerned about their financial situation due to losses suffered during the storm,” Mr Keogh said. “We will do all we can to help them while they get back on their feet.”

Over the past few days Beyond Bank staff across the Hunter Valley were personally affected by the storms. 

“It has been important for us to offer our employees flexibility in working hours and work arrangements in order to ensure they take care of their families and homes,” said Mr Keogh. “We have and will continue to support our people while also ensuring that there is limited impact on the service to customers.”

All Beyond Bank services are fully operational, including access to regional branches and rediATM terminals.
