Australian insurance elite named

The best of the best in Australia’s insurance market have been named in Insurance Business Magazine’s 2015 Elite Brokers ranking. This list, compiled annually, ranks the best-performing insurance brokers in Australia – and not just those with the biggest portfolio or the largest clients.

Brokers were ranked across eight criteria including both financial and non-financial achievements to determine this year’s top performers. 

For Australian customers looking for cover, the Elite Brokers ranking is a good place to start. Negative perception of insurance companies and the popularity of cost-focused comparison websites are seeing many customers simply choose the cheapest policy; however, going through an insurance broker means access to personalised advice and expertise from a fully licensed financial advisor. 

“Many people don’t realise the role of the insurance broker is to get the best deal for the policyholder, not the insurer,” says Insurance Business editor Tim Garratt. “A broker’s job is to educate you on the potential risks relevant to your unique situation so the policy you sign up for is right for you.”
