San Remo showcases versatility of family favourite by doing Lasagna differently

Announcement posted by Leverage PR 09 Jun 2015

Ask the average Australian about what makes for a tasty Lasagna meal and it is unlikely that muffins, cupcakes, canapés or even dessert options immediately spring to mind as an answer – but San Remo has launched a new campaign to show pasta lovers across the Nation the versatility of this family favourite.

San Remo brand ambassador, Laura Cassai, welcomed the opportunity to help make everyday special by showcasing a number of exciting new Lasagna recipe ideas for people to try and enjoy at home.

“Lasagna has a reputation as a Winter comfort food, and conjures up images of preparing béchamel sauce, tomatoes and layers of pasta before cooking it in the oven – but the reality is that Lasagna can be very adaptable, flexible and interesting to work with in the kitchen,” Laura says.

“Whether it is using the traditional flat Lasagna sheet or the curly edged option, it can make a range of great snacks for kids, family meals to enjoy, and even tapas options that can be served at a dinner party which will be the envy of guests,” she says.

“While most mums draw on tried and tested meal options, they are always on the lookout for easy-to-prepare recipes that will break the boredom and please everyone in the family, and this is a great way to share tips and tricks that can be used to simplify the process, reduce cooking times, and use seasonal and key trending ingredients to create amazing meals.”

Some of the exciting Lasagna recipes ideas on offer include:

·         Quick and Easy Lasagna with Salsa Verde – a great option for a mid-week meal for busy people wanting an easy-to-prepare meal that doesn’t sacrifice on taste;

·         Torn Lasagna with slow cooked beef – ideal comfort food when the rain is pouring down and the wind is at the door;

“Making lasagna doesn’t have to be a time-consuming and complicated process, and these recipes offer people the opportunity to make different styles of lasagna that are quick and easy using quality San Remo pasta to produce a brilliant result,” Laura says.

San Remo has made sure that dessert lovers don’t miss out either, with some great recipe ideas on offer for those with a sweet-tooth that want to try something different and broaden their palate.
