Primary braves the rain to raise money for Oxfam Community Aid Abroad

Announcement posted by Primary Communication 28 Feb 2003

Despite teeming rain, the intrepid Primary Communication team of 20 traipsed the back streets of Glebe on Sunday 23 February on Oxfam Community Aid Abroad's 37th Walk Against Want.
To date, Primary has raised over $500 to help the world's poor, including Australia's indigenous communities. Donations are still being accepted and can be sent directly to Oxfam Community Abroad or via Primary Communication. All donations over $2.00 are tax deductable.
According to Monica Vardabasso, managing director of Primary
Communication, "Stopovers in local pubs and cafes along the way sustained our bedraggled but increasingly cheery walkers. After the walk, the team relaxed to entertainment and a free massage in Victoria Park.
"It was a great way to have fun while supporting a worthwhile cause. Thanks to everyone who came along and made the day a success. Next year will be bigger and better and we hope a few more IT journalists will join us".
