On the eve of the annual SALA Festival, Beyond Bank is delighted to announce a first time offering that allows art lovers to buy works of art, interest-free.

The Arts Card will be the first time South Australians can purchase art without worrying about long term laybys or high interest repayments.

Cardholders simply advise the Bank of their purchase and it will be processed without any extra charge.

The art purchase made using the Arts Card is then interest free for up to twelve months.

“Local arts help form the fabric of the South Australian community and we think this is a great way to get behind them and show our support,” said Peter Rutter, Beyond Bank’s General Manager, Community Development.

SALA General Manager, Penny Griggs agreed, saying it’s an idea where everyone wins.

“The card will take financial pressure off artists and galleries,” said Ms Griggs.

“The artist will be able to receive money for their work more promptly and the buyer can take their purchase home and enjoy it straight away.

“It makes buying art more affordable than ever before.”

Similar schemes already work well in other States and Beyond Bank is confident the Arts Card will be extremely well received.

“South Australians love the SALA Festival and they are always keen to get behind local talent so we are very excited at what is a great new product,” said Mr Rutter.
