Walldorf Technology Provides Informatica Centre of Excellence
Data warehousing and data mining specialist Management Information Principles (MIP) has appointed the leading South Australian supplier of Business Intelligence solutions, Walldorf Technology Group, as a Systems Integration partner for Informaticas data integration platform in South Australia. MIP is the master distributor for Informatica in Australia and New Zealand.

Our partnership with Walldorf will greatly enhance our ability to respond to our South Australian customers needs. Strengthening Informatica resources in South Australia will help both companies collaboratively deliver and support powerful solutions for leading enterprises throughout the region, said Jackie Harper, MIPs Business Development Manager.

Walldorf Technology will become an Informatica Centre of Excellence in South Australia. The idea behind the Centre of Excellence is that it provides best practice services in consulting, infrastructure design and support for the Informatica ETL suite, said David Harding, Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Walldorf Technology Group.

Walldorf Technology Group has operated in Australia since 1990 and in the USA since 1981. Initially the focus of the company was in the area of traditional Masterpiece ERP implementation services and the development of productivity tools for the Masterpiece platform. Walldorf Technology Group is now one of the largest and most experienced independent business intelligence consulting companies in the world with a track record of implementing value-added applications for many leading blue chip companies.

Informatica has the runs on the board as the worlds leading 2nd generation ETL tool and Walldorf has used it on a global basis to support our clients in developing highly scaleable solutions to their information extraction issues. South Australian companies are once again showing leadership in this endeavour and the Centre of Excellence in our Asia Pacific Head Office in Adelaide is a way of ensuring that we are able to assist them in gaining maximum value for their investment in this area, Mr Harding said.

Walldorf (through sister company Inalytix) has been highly successful in using the Informatica ETL suite to develop packaged data marts which support a myriad of reporting and web delivery tools. Our work in this area has confirmed for us that the Informatica ETL suite is at the leading edge in terms of functionality and scalability - a fact supported by the number of companies choosing Informatica solutions.

With South Australian companies often relying on the Eastern states for support, our commitment to the Centre of Excellence with the expert backing of MIP will provide SA based companies with local support and international expertise, said Mr Harding.
