MANNY PACQUIAO TO VISIT AUSTRALIA

Legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao announced he will visit Australia for a series of public appearances in November.

The Filipino superstar will arrive in Australia on November 16 and spend the week meeting, greeting and speaking about his incredible life.

The 10 time world champion will address a Business Leaders Lunch at Crown on Wednesday, November 18. The “Pac-Man” as he is affectionately known will talk about his rise from poverty to the pinnacle of world sport and his amazing life outside the ring as a Congressman in the Philippines Parliament.

As well as boxing and politics, Pacquiao is involved in business, basketball, acting and singing.

Pacquiao, who is in the Guinness Book of Records for winning eight World Titles in as many different weight classes, will also speak at a Business Leaders Lunch in Sydney at the Hilton Hotel on Friday, November 20.

A screening of Pacquiao’s movie, MANNY, about the boxing champ’s life and times is also planned. The movie screening will include a Q&A session with Pacquiao. It will screen in Melbourne on Thursday, November 19 and in Sydney on Saturday, November 21.

During his stay in Australia, Pacquiao will meet with Australian politicians, church leaders and the Filipino community.

Boxing promoter Peter Maniatis explains, "I have been inviting Manny to Australia for the past 10 years and I am thrilled he has finally accepted.  Manny is bigger than boxing as US TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel describes him as a cross between Muhammed Ali and President John F Kennedy.”
