Geelong invention test offers $50,000 in prizes for IT entrepreneurs

 One of the attractions to this year’s competition will be an exclusive invitation for the top 10 submissions to attend an innovation masterclass facilitated by innovation experts and free tickets to a high impact forum and Innovation Masterclass to be held mid next year in Geelong.

 Also, the top three submissions will have the opportunity to pitch to the Geelong Angels Investors Network.

 "There is a growing appetite for entrepreneurship and innovation in the knowledge economy in Geelong. This is reinforced by the establishment of the Geelong Angel Investment Network, the HeadStart Accelerator and the potential development of co-working spaces,” says Mr Aamir Qutub, general manager of ICT Geelong.

 iHorizon, a cloud-based enterprise planning and forecasting solution for big business, won the IT Invention Test in 2014.

These elements are certainly coming together in Geelong.”
