Australian Startup Kizkaz launches Genie, a free on-demand personal assistant for parents

Announcement posted by Kizkaz 28 Oct 2015

Innovative app connects busy parents to local child-friendly services and activities.
Melbourne, Australia: Today Kizkaz, a mobile discovery app for child-friendly events, launched their latest product, aiming to help families like never before. The new Kizkaz Genie is a free to use, on-demand personal assistant for parents. Available for families visiting or living in Melbourne, Genie allows you to outsource everyday tasks. Common requests to Genie have included grocery and gift purchases, cleaning and gardening tasks, and event planning. Of the Kizkaz Genie launch, founder Sean Guo said, “we’re very excited to make life easier for parents by giving them an easy way to connect to local services, events and activities. We want parents to spend less time doing work and more time bonding with their kids.”

Genie will offer a personalised feel to the overall user experience by providing an instant chat service to parents. Users simply sign into the Kizkaz parenting app to begin chatting to a Genie representative in real-time. This feature ensures that parents receive a timely response that is
specifically tailored to their needs.

Community and marketing lead Jasmine Elias is confident that the new development will be appealing to all families. “For us, the bottom line is connecting local services to parents and kids, whoever they may be. The days of the traditional modern family are over, so we were conscious of providing a service that is able to assist different types of families, including single-parent, gay, nuclear, blended, and those with special needs. This stance is further supported through our ongoing marketing campaigns”, Elias said.

The parenting app is host to 1000 child-friendly events and activities in Melbourne, which are easily accessible at the touch of a button. Users are able to contact event organisers directly, share rich media content with friends and browse up-to-date shopping catalogues. Parents are further able to obtain childcare feeds if their childcare centre uses Kizkaz’s sister app, Observation.

Kizkaz is currently offering parents who trial Genie and offer feedback via social media the chance to win an iPad Mini 2. The Kizkaz app is available to download from both the iTunes App Store and Google Play, for use on all Android phone and tablet devices, as well as iPhones and iPads. The Genie service is available from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week.
