Media Release
28 October 2015

Food lovers and those who appreciate a decent food find on the go, will love the new Navman  MY650LMMT GPS that features the popular Zomato restaurant guide (formerly known as Urbanspoon). The guide which comes pre-loaded on the sat-nav allows you to discover new places to eat, find a specific cuisine or search for a restaurant in an unfamiliar area.

With access to listings of over 40,000 restaurants and cafes across 20 Australian cities and 11,800 restaurant listings in NZ across 12 cities, drivers will never be short of somewhere amazing to stop and eat wherever they are on the road.

The Zomato feature will be equally pleasing to those of us who like to adventure out beyond our own suburbs whether it is to find delicious ethnic food like the authentic Greek restaurant Kefi in Sydney’s Kingsgrove or a drive out to Brae in country Victoria to experience Dan Hunter’s extraordinary cooking.

There are two ways to access the Zomato restaurant guide on the MY650LMMT sat. Firstly it works via the dedicated Zomato button located on Navman’s main menu screen. Here you’ll find alphabetical restaurant listings by State and by food-type such as burgers, Italian food, tapas, pub food, seafood, Japanese cuisine and more. Simply choose the cuisine category you prefer or type in the name of a restaurant and your Navman will generate a list of suggestions. It’s the perfect guide for when you are planning a trip or evening out.

If you want to find something in the area you are currently travelling in, then you can also find Zomato listed restaurants in Navman’s Find tab. Simply select points of interest > nearby > food. Zomato’s restaurant listings will then appear starting with those closest to your current location.

The best part about the feature is once you have found a restaurant, Navman will guide you there seamlessly so you don’t have to worry about fiddling with your smartphone for an address or directions.

The latest Navman MY650LMMT GPS is also packed with terrific features to keep you safe and stress-free on the roads including its world first Landmark Guidance Plus a feature that works by giving you spoken directions based on what you are seeing through your windscreen - using visual cues - such as the colours, brand names of buildings and displays brand and business logos to guide you. 3D landmarks such as Flinders Station or Queen Victoria Building are also presented on the MY650LMMT mapping screen giving you a better indication of where you should be heading. The sat-nav also comes with free lifetime monthly map updates, spoken safety alerts, live traffic updates.

The Navman MY650LMMT has a very generous two year warranty and is available at all major electronics retailers for $199. For more information or a list of retailers visit www.navman.com.au or facebook.com/NavmanANZ
