As Christmas draws near, Multicap prepares for their annual community Carols evening and a much anticipated visit from Santa.

Offering a festive showcase of carols, DIY lantern workshops, glow sticks, face painting and other family entertainment; every year draws a crowd of locals who join in Multicap’s special Christmas celebration.

Carols@Multicap is a relaxed Christmas event held on the grass at 303 Padstow Road, Eight Mile Plains. Entry is free and open to the whole community on Friday 27 November from 5pm – 7pm.

Macgregor Lions Club have been long-term supporters who come on board to assist with parking and host a cake stall at the event, now in its ninth year.

Plenty of happy painted faces, a delicious BBQ sausage sizzle and live music always gets everyone into the Christmas spirit.
Multicap Events Coordinator, Emma Wilkes said “It is such a privilege watching everyone come together and to watch all the kids ecstatic to meet Santa when he arrives with his elves.”

“The energy and enjoyment of our annual carols celebration is what gives this event its’ sincere down-to-earth community vibe, with all funds raised going back to Multicap to assist people with disability,” said Ms Wilkes.

Supported by the Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund and Councillor Steven Huang of Macgregor Ward, the 2015 Carols@Multicap has a wonderful line up of generous sponsors and partners.

Multicap is appreciative to everyone who has made this event possible, including Macgregor Lions Club, Pearce Meats, Camp Oven Bakery, Bounce Inc, Warrigal Road Amcal Chemist, Subway, Spar, Australia Post, Fish 128, RACQ, Eight Mile Plains Vet and Eight Mile Plains Newsagency.

Multicap is a high needs disability support organisation providing individual respite, family support networks, opportunities, and programs throughout Queensland for over 50 years.
