Brisbane Pair Release World’s First Concierge Diploma

Announcement posted by Institute of Concierge & Lifestyle Managers 10 Dec 2015

Founders of the Australian based Institute of Concierge and Lifestyle Managers (iCALM) Adele Blair and Kay Marco, have released the world’s first Diploma of Personal Concierge Services.

The concierge industry surge led the pair to undertake a global search for a training course to offer their members to no success, so they decided to create their own.

It took them on a three-year journey to write and obtain approval from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national Vocational Education and Training regulator, but it is one that Adele says is paying off.

“Both Kay and I are so proud to finally share it with the world.  We are so passionate about our industry and want it to thrive.  We knew the missing link was appropriate industry specific training which would form an industry benchmark.”

“The Diploma will deliver the combination of core skills essential to both business and concierge services, and encompasses everything we’ve both learnt in our combined 20 plus years of related industry experience,” she said.

Diploma success for pair

Chelsea Bridgett from Brisbane based Entamio, the Registered Training Organisation partner, believes in the rapid growth in this exciting industry sector.

The unique combination of business, project management and client focused skills will expand a students’ career opportunities, through the development of these highly transferable competencies”, she said.

The diploma is offered online with quarterly interactive events held in capital cities.

iCALM is Australia’s only concierge industry body supporting members through education, networking and recruitment.
