CELEBRITY CHEF'S TOP 5 BBQ RECIPES FOR AUSTRALIA DAY !

 

Celebrity master chef and cook book king John Lanzafame is known as Australia and the WORLD’S BEST PIZZA MAKER  but thanks to his Sicilian heritage he is an expert on all things  Italian food, drink and lifestyle. With Australia Day just around the corner, Lanzafame offers up some of his best tips for a delicious multicultural Aussie/Italian BBQ.

 

“It doesn’t get more Aussie than prawns, but do it Italian style and barbeque basted in butter-brine made with anchovies or pop them on skewers and dip into a tasty peri peri marinade,” says John Lanzafame.

 

“To keep things fresh and simple, serve a kilo of prawns in an ice bucket with cocktail sauce and lemon and chili dipping sauce, or whip together some king prawn paninis to pass around” continues Lanzafame.

 

It wouldn’t be Australia Day without some lamb on the grill, and Lanzafame has some recipes that would make Sam Kekovich proud.

 

“You can slow cook lamb on the BBQ at 80 degrees for 12 hours starting the night before to really impress, or simply butterfly a lamb shoulder, cover in Texas rub and cook for about 20 minutes, turning.” John advises.
