Good Advice From Hireace On Driving In NZ This Summer

Announcement posted by Hireace 19 Jan 2016

January is such a lovely time to be in New Zealand and to celebrate 2016 with friends, and Hireace’s vehicle rental service has some great ideas for travellers to experience whilst on their adventure driving a Hireace Minibus rental. The Hireace team encourage people to hit the beach, picnic in a park, explore the bush, have brunch in the sun, get out on the water, climb a volcano, check out the local wildlife or visit the bustling markets to be found all over New Zealand.

The Hireace team are also keen to advise visitors to the country on keeping safe during their time driving during the holidays in New Zealand. As they say, people will need to take extra care when travelling in holiday periods because of increased traffic volumes, congestion, tiredness and people driving in unfamiliar environments.  They should also allow plenty of time to make the journey part of the holiday, and schedule regular rest stops and be courteous by letting others merge into traffic.

At this time of the year when there are so many vehicles on our roads, in particular tourists and holiday-makers, Hireace believe it is important that their clients are aware of the ‘do’s and don’ts’ associated with hiring a commercial vehicle or trailer with their company, in particular, what to do if they have an accident.

In the unfortunate event of an accident with your rental vehicle and a third party the helpful team at Hireace will ask that their client does not admit liability in any circumstance. If the client is unsure, they should always obtain a police report that will help Hireace’s insurance company to gauge who was at fault. They also ask the client to complete an Accident Form which can be found in the vehicle’s glove box. This will prompt them to ask the correct questions and to gather the relevant information they need to make a claim on the client’s behalf. All accidents must be reported to a Hireace representative the day it happens and the client will also have to complete an insurance form with a representative at one of Hireace’s branches. They ask people to be aware that they do not guarantee to replace the vehicle if the client is liable for the accident.
