One thing they are really noticing this year is the predominance of wedding dresses being bought on the internet which, unfortunately, do not always live up to their photographs. The Meg’s team can change tears to smiles with their dedicated skills in re-styling and re-fitting so that the bride to be can walk confidently down the aisle on her big day. And, let’s not forget about the groom! Grooms also need to have their expensive morning suits altered to suit weight loss or gain or just to help them look the best they can on the day.

There is also the challenge of dressing the wedding party, where many brides are buying bridesmaids’ dresses and having them altered and changed to fit all the different shapes of their blushing bridesmaids. They may have four or five differently shaped girls but have bought only one or two sizes of dresses – Meg’s Tailoring to the rescue! The experienced and professional team at Meg’s Tailoring are busy re-shaping new dresses that are not quite the shape desired, putting in cups for ‘curvier curves’ and, of course, shortening, taking in, letting out the sides, and sometimes even lengthening a gown. There is also a requirement for making veils longer or shorter, and in every case, the bride and her wedding party leave with a smile, knowing they will now look their best on the day.

The Meg’s team provide a ‘steam and press’ service, free-of-charge, and for those who are too busy before the wedding, they will deliver their gowns right to the door by courier.
