The all new Van Staal VM275 is easily the strongest, most affordable reel in its class. It is completely over-built for incredible strength. The body, rotor, spool, arm lever, handle knob and dust cap, plus even the drag knob, are all aluminium, fully machined then bead blasted and anodised, for a distinct gun-metal finish. This machined body design delivers the ultimate in rigid strength, so when you’re cranking the massive hardened stainless steel gears with the drag set to the maximum of 45lb, there is no flex.
The VM275 body is sealed and the machined spool has the same Van Staal patented sealed water-tight drag which many anglers regard as the main attraction of the legendary VS and VSB reels. The spool lip features a special coating added to reduce friction as the line flies off, increasing casting distance.
