SYDNEY – February 17, 2016 – Acquia, the digital experience company, today launched the Acquia Academy, a comprehensive online curriculum for Drupal and Acquia products available to anyone at no cost.

New Drupal 8 courses are among the featured resources immediately available from the Acquia Academy today. These courses were developed by Acquia’s learning services team to help digital marketers and developers prepare themselves to move to the newest version of the world’s most widely adopted, enterprise open source digital experience software.

Launched a little over two months ago, Drupal 8 introduced hundreds of new breakthrough capabilities that give organisations the speed, security and flexibility they need to innovate at scale and deliver transformative business results.

“Making Drupal 8 learning available to everyone is part of Acquia’s commitment to accelerate Drupal 8 adoption across the landscape. These courses will help managers and admins shorten their learning curve and get productive fast with Drupal 8,” said Preston Bradford, Acquia chief operating officer. “Tailor-made for professionals to access on their own schedule, the courses offer proven insights and industry best practices from Acquia’s professional services and product teams as well as partner agencies.”

Academy courses are also available for Drupal 7 and for Acquia Platform products to help organisations plan and prepare for their future digital initiatives. The Acquia Academy’s online curriculum covers a full range of self-paced courses. Among the courses available immediately include:
  • Site Building Basics
  • Designing Structured Content Collection
  • Content Display and Organisation
  • Module Configuration

Best practices courses covering Drupal security, workflow, and performance are planned for release in the coming weeks.
