FRACTIONAL PRIVATE JET OWNERSHIP HEADED TO AUSTRALIA

Australia is set to receive the latest mode of air travel, fractional jet ownership. After more than 12 months of planning, YOURJET was formally launched during an event hosted by the QLD Government Department of State Development and the Australian High Commission in Singapore.
Company Director Jason Hazell recognised an opportunity to bring the model to Australia after hearing the same messages from people every time he travelled.
“People are increasingly frustrated with commercial air travel but left with few choices. YOURJET brings the efficiencies and benefits of private jet travel to people that don’t need or can’t justify the cost of an entire aircraft.”
YOURJET’s fractional model is based on successful programs operating in Europe, Asia and the US with enhancements to suit the Australian market. A fleet of brand new aircraft each owned by up to four businesses or individuals will be managed and operated by YOURJET. Owners will automatically gain access to the entire fleet significantly increasing aircraft availability even when “their” aircraft is being used by another owner.
Flight bookings are made with the easy to use online reservation system, which is backed up by a 24/7 customer support team. The flight operations department takes the hassle out of jet ownership by managing all maintenance, servicing, fueling, cleaning and catering. This means that all the owner has to do is arrive at the private jet terminal and get on their way.
The use of private jet terminals is where the model really offers time savings, doing away with airport queues and waiting around. Coupled with the ability to fly directly to their destination, owners can shave hours off their current travel times particularly when flying from capital cities to regional centres.
Speaking after the event in Singapore, Mr Hazell said “Almost 1.5 Million people flew between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in November 2015 alone. Even with each person spending one hour wasted in transit, that’s a lot of unproductive time. We’ve been talking to businesses that can’t afford that kind of waste and are looking for a flexible, affordable option to move key staff between cities across Australia.”
The Singapore Airshow provided the opportunity for some of the first potential participants to view the aircraft that they could own a share in, the Embraer Phenom 300. The award winning aircraft is the leader in the light jet category, quickly becoming the most popular choice for fractional ownership programs, particularly in the US.
Not just for the business traveler, YOURJET also caters for individuals looking for the flexibility and convenience of private travel. The range of the Phenom 300 means a party of eight can easily fly direct to places like Queenstown or Fiji from the East Coast of Australia while South East Asia can be reached with a short stop for fuel in Darwin.
YOURJET will employ a team of experienced pilots that will receive training on the jet from the manufacturer. Ongoing training will be provided by a major Australian flight training school to ensure their skills remain current.
