All About Escape Plan

Announcement posted by Escape Plan 29 Feb 2016

When the founders started up Escape Plan, they didn’t want it to be a company that sells stuff they didn’t believe in, so they make sure they get out and test and review what they sell at every opportunity. Their aim is to present a hand-picked selection of the finest streetwear and outdoor brands and offer exceptional service along the way, becoming a one stop shop for all male related clothing and adventure gear, whether it's for a road trip with the boys or a five-day wilderness excursion

Escape Plan was started by a couple of guys from New Zealand – one from down south and one from up north who are passionate about getting outdoors with their mates and escaping the daily grind. Depending on the season these guys can be found either up the mountain, on a trail, on a board, taking the dog for a run down the beach, or, as they say, “Trying to get the bloody dog to come back”.

A few years ago they had an idea about starting a store full of the stuff they would like to buy themselves; loads of clothing, accessories and gear to support both what they would like to wear everyday in the city, and what they needed in their weekend packs. Over the years they’ve lived in Queensland, Texas, New York, London, Melbourne and a bunch of one-horse towns in between so they are well versed in bringing to their customers the best clothing and gear they’ve seen in their travels like the North Face, along with hometown favourites like Huffer and Mons Royale.

So, Escape Plan’s mission is to bring their customers the best clothing and gear, which they promise will last for donkey’s years, as they personally hand pick everything in the store. As they say, they won’t try and flog you a jacket that lasts only one year or a cheap knife that goes dull when you need it most. If something does go wrong though, they’ll make it up to you, offering 101 days for returns. And, they are based in New Zealand next to a café that makes a serious brew and a couple of hundred metres from the beach.
