Leading Marketing Industry Associations Work Together to Drive Industry Excellence with New Online Training Option

Announcement posted by ADMA 01 Mar 2016

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) have formed an education partnership to help AMI members hone and extend their skills through a series of modular, online courses – AMI Online Training, powered by ADMA IQ.

This represents the first time that two marketing and industry associations have joined forces to help advance professional skills training in Australia and reflects the commitment of both organisations to work collegiately in order to close the marketing skills gap, foster innovation and promote marketing excellence.

AMI Online Training, powered by ADMA IQ launches today and will give marketers access to a flexible online training portal designed to fill knowledge gaps, open new career paths and support business growth and development. It follows the introduction of the new ADMA IQ curriculum earlier in February 2016.

AMI CEO Lee Tonitto says AMI Online Training, powered by ADMA IQ, is a smart and flexible solution for busy marketing professionals. “Students can opt to complete full certificates in Analytics, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology – or they can take advantage of the training’s modular structure and complete one course within a certificate or even a single module within a course,” Ms Tonitto said.

The online training platform features courses from entry level to advanced, covering analytics, creative, content, data, digital marketing, marketing technology, mobile, privacy & compliance. Courses can be completed anywhere a student has a digital device and an internet connection. For those who prefer to learn in a classroom setting, AMI also offers day and half-day training and workshops focused on both basic and more advanced marketing skills.

This style of training delivery reflects the ever-changing nature of the marketing industry. Ms Tonitto explains: “Marketing, media and analytics are changing extremely quickly. If marketing professionals want to harness the power of marketing and technology and deliver superior business outcomes, they need a smart and flexible library of marketing training options. AMI Online Training, powered by ADMA IQ strengthens industry qualifications and allows marketers to progress from knowing to truly understanding,” Ms Tonitto said.

Jodie Sangster, CEO of ADMA said “The gap in appropriately skilled marketers in Australia is an issue that affects the whole industry and one that transcends individual associations and sectors. We have made a significant investment in ADMA IQ in order to shift the dial on professional marketing skills in Australia now and into the future.  Our partnership with AMI means that we will be able to extend our education offer to reach more marketers.”

She continued, “It is also a great example of industry associations working together to advance what should be a common cause – better serving the needs of Australia’s marketers.”

AMI Online Training, powered by ADMA IQ is an additional product to other training products provided by the AMI for members including Fundamental Workshops, Master Workshops, webinars and the Marketing Thought Leadership Series.
