Announcement posted by Mindscape 25 Mar 2003
IMSI, a leading developer of visual content, design, and graphics software, has announced its wholly owned subsidiary, IMSI Australia Pty Ltd, has signed an exclusive long term agreement with Mindscape to publish and distribute IMSI software titles, including TurboCAD and FloorPlan in Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement calls for Mindscape to begin selling and distributing IMSI products effective March 5, 2003. This agreement is an extension of the companies existing relationship where Mindscape distributes IMSI software titles in France and other French speaking regions of Europe, Canada and Africa.
Our previous agreement with Mindscape in Europe has been very successful and we believe this new agreement will be equally beneficial stated IMSI President Gordon Landies. We anticipate our new agreement will help increase distribution and sales of IMSI products in Australia and New Zealand.
We are excited to join forces with IMSI said Mindscape Managing Director, Tony Hughes. This new agreement allows us to broaden our product offerings, strengthen our market position and work more closely with the retail channel.
We are also pleased that Doug Jurd, who has been in charge of IMSIs channel sales in Australia and New Zealand for the past three years, has chosen to join Mindscape, thereby ensuring a smooth transition for our valued retail partners, said Hughes.
While Mindscape will review products from the IMSI range with a view to including more of these in its product portfolio, the current distribution arrangement for existing Mindscape brands will remain in place with Infogrames and Scholastic.
