homely.com.au launches Collections: The first collaborative real estate search tool in Australia

New search tool offers homely.com.au users a fast, easy and fun way to share and search for homes together.

MELBOURNE, VIC – Apr 13, 2016

homely.com.au the free-to-list real estate portal announced today the launch of Collections, a new search tool streamlining the way Australian home buyers and renters collaboratively search for, and share properties.

Collections allows users to save their favourite homes by clicking the heart icon in the top right hand corner of any property card and creating a Collection with a theme of their own choosing (e.g. suburbs, price points, investment prospects, dream homes, reno ideas, etc.).

Collections represents an industry first for an Australian real estate search portal. No other portal places social collaboration at the heart of user search. Users can easily invite their friends and family to view, add and change properties in their Collections.

We’re very excited about this new tool as it will make showing others and searching for homes together so much easier and faster”, says Adam Spencer Co-CEO and Head of Product at Homely.

“The great thing about Collections is that it provides instant notifications and activity updates for each member invited to a Collection, keeping everyone posted of any new developments”.

In addition to improving the efficiency and simplicity of searching for a new home with others, “Collections is also a lot of fun. It fuels Australia’s love affair with beautiful real estate by making it easy to save and share the most inspiring homes on the market” Adam says.
