Announcing eSquare500, Australias biggest LAN party
Computer marketplace eSquare and Valhalla, South Australia's No 1 network gaming club, aim to break the Australian LAN gaming party record when they present eSquare500 on September 22-23 at St Clair Recreation Centre, Woodville, SA.
Sponsored by Achieva Technology, Jolt Cola and McDonalds, the event is expected to attract at least 500 hard-core gamers a day, breaking the record held by UWALAN in Perth of 650 over 2 days.
Going by the current level of interest well have more than 500 in just one day in Adelaide, says eSquare Director Andrew Lee. This is a great opportunity to hone your gaming skills and win some sought-after prizes.
eSquare500 will be no ordinary network gaming party. Industry exhibitors will be demonstrating their latest wares, making the event a mini Gaming Expo.
The online and network gaming market is swimming against the general IT downturn, Mr Lee says. Companies are happy to lend their support because they know theyll be exhibiting their products and services to a well-defined market.
Games on the day include Counter Strike, Quake3, Half-Life, Tribes 2, Unreal Tournament, Age of Empires II, StarCraft, Diablo 2, and Black & White.
