Expense8 builds on customer momentum as it expands its global footprint

Announcement posted by Espresso Communications 26 Apr 2016

Sydney, Australia – April 26, 2016: Expense8, a subsidiary of global software technology group 8common Limited (ASX: 8CO), today announced that two premier Australian brands Mitre 10 and BAI Communications Pty Ltd, have chosen Expense8 to streamline their accounting, reporting, tax compliance and governance of employee-generated expenses.

The Australian-based performance and productivity software provider continues to demonstrate significant customer momentum, having just rolled out in March the first stage of Expense8 on a Software as a Service (SaaS) basis to support the New South Wales Department of Education Purchasing Card Solution. This is part of a seven-digit contract for an initial three years with provisions for a two-year extension.

Mitre 10 and BAI Communications are now part of a fast growing pool of Expense8 clients including the Australian Electoral Commission, NSW Legal Aid, Woolworths, and Roche Australia.  Coupled with recently established partnerships with leading travel companies Fortune Travel in Singapore and Sunway Travel in Malaysia, Expense8 is well poised to expand its footprint both regionally and internationally.

“The wins are a testament to our product superiority and how we simplify technology experiences for our customers,” said Nick Gonios, CEO, 8common. “These customers had specific challenges unique to their business, yet they recognise the cost and time advantages and technology innovation that Expense8 can bring to the table.”

Existing customers Mitre 10 and BAI Communications attributed Expense8’s powerful reporting capabilities and automated processes to its unwavering commitment to technology innovation and user-centricity.

“After evaluating several comparable solutions, Expense8 still offers the greatest flexibility and hence, the best fit for what we need. In addition, its rapid implementation time, fast onboarding and user-friendly features were huge pluses for us,” said Pratima Chand, AP & Rebates Manager, Mitre 10.

“What resonated with us was that the team at Expense8 fully understood our business challenges and technical requirements. The knowledge and expertise of the team were evident throughout the process,” said George Meimaroglou, Finance Manager, BAI Communications.

Expense8 helps organisations manage their travel and expenses through an easy-to-navigate user interface and core functions.  Tailored for each client, Expense8 provides organisations with all the tools needed for employees to plan and book business trips, and reconcile travel and corporate expenses.
