On Windows, AAM 5.1 also delivers enhanced Windows log monitoring and event correlation designed to assist customers in achieving fine-tuned control of interdependent Windows resources.

IT managers are often required to maintain a specified service level for internal and external customers, reduce costs and increase staff productivity. It can be difficult to maintain service levels when faced with disasters, power outages, systems maintenance, software upgrades and numerous other activities that can affect the availability and accessibility of core information. LEGATO has helped customers meet their service levels goals by effectively automating the management of its application resources.

Manually managed applications and systems represent some of the biggest costs and resource allocation challenges facing the enterprise today. LEGATO AAM has been proven to increase the return on ITs investment by automating the failover, recovery and management of application resources. said Michael Karp, Senior Analyst, Enterprise
Management Associates. As ILM becomes increasingly important in todays IT enterprises, including mid-tier organizations, these latest AAM enhancements should make LEGATO AAM an even more useful platform to deliver automated ILM solutions.
