Lifestyle Travel Ballarat MD Opens Up About Mobile Travel App

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 03 May 2016

Ms. Leonie Spencer, the MD of Lifestyle Travel Ballarat and the owner of the My Trip travel app, shed some light about the application in a recent interview. Here is a report.

In an informal tete-a-tete last week, the CEO of Teksmobile - Mr Hussain Fakhruddin - caught up with Ms. Leonie Spencer, the Managing Director of Lifestyle Travel Ballarat (Australia). During the Q&A session, Ms. Spencer talked about her app, the future of mobile technology, the experience of working with Teks, and a whole lot more.

In the current mechanical age, it was rather heartwarming to note that the Lifestyle Travel iOS app did not evolve from just another assembly-line idea. There was a definite human element to its conceptualization, as Ms. Spencer pointed out. She recollected how she and her family, during a vacation in the US three years back, had noted the extensive everyday use of mobile devices. This, correctly, led Ms. Spencer to believe that the ‘future is mobile devices’, and there is a need for a custom mobile app for storing documents. The idea of Lifestyle Travel took shape next.

Hailing the experience of mobile app development with the help of Mr. Fakhruddin and his team of developers as ‘a fantastic process’, Ms. Spencer sounded gratified enough to have found Teksmobile an easy-to-work-with business partner. Representatives from the mobile app company were proficient, could easily get what was required to make the app, and were flexible enough to work through minor issues, she reported. That’s basically all must-have qualities of any good app agency.

Ms. Spencer revealed an interesting way of thought, while speaking about the final user-experience that her mobile travel assistant provides. She expressed her confidence that the popularity of the app would not be limited to the tech-savvy Gen Y - but would also be loved and used by older people. It was all about learning a new technology, an easier, way more reliable way to electronically store documents. In fact, Ms. Spencer did point out that positive word-of-mouth publicity has worked in a big way towards bolstering the download count of Lifestyle Travel.

The ambitious and enterprising MD of Lifestyle Travel Ballarat also already has plans to expand the professional reach of her iPhone travel app. She is currently mulling over the idea of offering the application to travel agents and other business-owners from the same domain. The benefits of doing this would be two-fold: the utility and popularity of Lifestyle Travel would get a further boost, while travel agents would get databases of prospective clients. As Ms. Spencer mentioned in passing, making the app was hard work - but now that it is done, the app can really go big.

Answering to Mr. Fakhruddin’s query as to how the mobile app would help her business, Ms. Spencer revealed her dynamic, forward-looking approach. Like all of her projects, she hopes that the app would provide optimal client-experience - and the simpler, cost-effective way to store documents will catch on among users. People could get in touch with the team behind Lifestyle Travel (My Trip) app whenever there’s an issue, and travel tickets can be uploaded in the app electronically - two other factors that, according to Ms. Spencer, would work in favour of her app.

With over a decade of experience of making apps, Mr. Fakhruddin can justifiably be referred to as a veteran mobile app entrepreneur. Ms. Spencer did take the opportunity to call the Teksmobile CEO as ‘the tech person’, and the correct person to chalk out the future roadmap of Lifestyle Travel. She reiterated that, with the proliferation of mobile technology, use of paper will drastically fall in future. An observation most tech experts would agree with.

Although confident and self-assured, Ms. Spencer admitted that she was initially apprehensive about whether the investment on her mobile app for travelers will be worth it (this, in spite of the fact that her family - and in particular, her sons, had loved the idea). There was a lingering feel that the app might not turn out as she had conceived it, and she did have to take a ‘leap of faith’ to proceed. If she hadn’t, it would have been a loss for travelers in particular, and the community of app-makers in general!

The MD of Lifestyle Travel Ballarat is enjoying the success wave that her app is riding on - and she only has words of high praise for Teknowledge Software, the company she had hired to create the app. From prompt responses to emails, query-resolutions and providing other references, to giving additional payment options (in AUD), Team Teks had brought a host of little things to the table - to put Ms. Spencer at her ease. Mr. Fakhruddin and Ms. Spencer shared a laugh while the latter recollected about the money back guarantee and the no-upfront-payment assurance that Teksmobile had given her.

As with any successful business-client relationship, the bond between Ms. Spencer and Teks Mobile is built on the platform of mutual trust and confidence. Elaborating on this, the lady categorically stated that there were no differences as such, professional or cultural, between Mr. Fakhruddin’s team and any other mobile app company in Australia. The fact that she could mention things in lay terms and the mobile app makers from Teks could grasp the ideas helped her stay in her comfort zone. Worrying was never an option.

Before signing off, Ms. Spencer asserted that she would be more than glad to recommend Teksmobile to other people - thanks to the ‘fab job’ that the company had done with Lifestyle Travel (My Trip) app. Mr. Fakhruddin and his team can now boast of yet another glowing client-review!
