EMC Corporation Focuses On The Growth Of The NAS Business

Michael Alp appointed Director of NAS
EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage, today announced the appointment of Michael Alp as Director of Networked Attached Storage, Asia Pacific, to expand the NAS business in the APAC region.

In this role, Michael will be responsible for managing a specialist sales force across Asia providing Network Attached Storage solutions with EMC products to new and existing customers.

According to Steve Querner, EMC's Vice President, Asia Pacific, "Michael's appointment is paramount to EMC's success in Asia Pacific, as Network Attached Storage fast emerges as a major segment of the storage marketplace
in this region.

Michael will play an important role in helping us achieve strong growth and a high level of customer satisfaction in the local Enterprise Storage market," he said.

Bringing to EMC Corporation over twelve years of experience in the IT industry, Michael previously held the position of General Manager of Tripoint Online, the outsourcing arm of Tripoint Corporation - a successful locally owned technical systems integrator. This experience equipped him with vital skills in infrastructure and applications management such as PeopleSoft, SAP and Oracle Financials.

Prior to Tripoint Online, Michael worked for major vendors NCR/Teradata and Oracle, in sales, consulting and management positions. He worked extensively across data warehouse, ERP and CRM projects in Sydney and Melbourne with a range of major customers such as CBA, Westpac, St.George, NAB, Telstra and Optus.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts from Adelaide University and Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing.
