Big Wet Expands, Quenching The Thirst Of More Thirsty Victorians

As it endeavours to bring more refreshing natural spring water to homes and offices around Victoria, Big Wet has just purchased Hydrate 2U, a family-owned, Melbourne-based spring water company.

This latest acquisition has increased Big Wet’s customer base to almost 4,000, making it the largest independently owned home and office water delivery company in the state.

Big Wet has made it a priority to responsibly expand over the last decade, beginning with striking a deal in 2005 with Kev the Cooler King. Since then it has added to its books, Victoria Springs, Hydro Clear and Dandenong-based Oz Fresh.

This rapid customer base growth has resulted in a doubling of the number of delivery trucks on the road, increasing from four to nine in the last few years. This is good news for both new and existing customers, says Michael Opie, Big Wet Spring Water’s Managing Director. “More trucks means we can now deliver more quickly and more efficiently,” he says. “There will almost always be a truck in your area which means you will never be short of bottles.”

Established in 1994, Big Wet’s natural spring water is sourced from a granite spring in the heart of Victoria’s Spa Country and is available delivered to homes and offices in both 11 litre and 15 litre bottles. Delivery is available in Melbourne and surrounding areas.
