Australia’s Youngest CEO prepares to take the Top Job

Becomes one of the 50 professionals to assume Adecco role worldwide

Australia, 14 June, 2016:  Australia’s youngest CEO, 21 year old Mia Savic has won a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become Adecco Australia’s CEO for one month (#CEO1Month). Mia beat 852 graduates to win this opportunity and will be begin her role from July 04, 2016.

Mia will work alongside Adecco Australia’s Country Manager and CEO Ger Doyle, to gain invaluable job experience and mentorship. At the end of her term, Mia will get the chance to apply for Adecco Group’s ‘CEO for One Month’ and if successful, gain experience of running a Fortune 500 company under the mentorship of Adecco Group CEO Alain Dehaze.

 

In her new role, Mia will receive training around myriad areas of management including HR solutions and staffing business, broader management concepts, finance and marketing principles, exposure to and meeting with clients, as well as an opportunity for public speaking, a skill that can boost confidence and employability.

 

Having completed her Masters of Professional Engineering, with specialisation in Chemical Engineering from the University of Western Australia, Mia has a passion for travelling and firmly believes that the three P’s (Proactive, Passion, and Positivity) helps make a good leader.

 

Said Ger Doyle, “I am really excited to welcome Mia Savic, a bright young graduate to join me in becoming the CEO for one month. Through this unique program we are able to groom and train talented graduates to take on roles that today’s employers demand. I look forward to working with Mia and mentoring her to help build skills and professional competence for future management roles.”

 

Winning the opportunity, Mia said, “I am delighted to be chosen as the CEO for one month and really enthusiastic about working with Ger. This opportunity will not only give me valuable job experience but also help enhance my professional skills. Although this isn’t my first job experience, it most certainly is the most exciting job I will have done”.

 

Adecco Group’s CEO for One Month program was launched in 2011 and became a global initiative offering one 'Global CEO for One Month' in 2014. Gaining much popularity, the program which was offered in 30 countries last year, was extended to 50 countries this year. The program won Graduate Recruitment Campaign of the Year at the Recruitment International Australasia awards 2016.
