New Far Infrared Heater warms your body, not the air

Ionmax Ray heater offers targeted heating and saves energy costs

Melbourne, Australia – June 20, 2016 – Andatech has announced the launch of their latest addition to their wellness products, the Ionmax Ray Far Infrared Heater.

Featuring the latest Far Infrared (FIR) heating technology, the new heater promises to warm up its users instantly while saving on heating costs thanks to a low energy consumption of just 200 to 1200W.

Far infrared is radiant heat and is the same as the feeling of warmth from the sun on our face and heat from a campfire. It is the most basic form of heating known to man, and is now available as a heater for your home or workplace.

“Far infrared heaters are the future of heating today. Radiant heating is far more efficient than heating air, and is a low energy solution to provide an efficient, comfortable, and low cost heating system,” Irwandy Tan, Andatech’s director, said.

In terms of heat transfer, FIR heat is more efficient than convection heat from regular electric heaters.

Regular heaters heat the air, which retains heat poorly and disappears on draughts. As a result, heating air with regular heaters requires much more energy. Because they heat air, even the best market leading “low consumption” electric heaters need up to 3600W.

On the other hand, FIR heaters like the Ionmax Ray directly heat bodies up, not the air. So, they typically only need less than 1200W to warm you up and can save up to $600 on heating costs a year*.

Since the Ionmax Ray produces FIR radiation, not warm air, it is even possible to get these benefits in rooms with large ceilings or with drafts that otherwise make using standard room heaters ineffective or too costly to operate.

Infrared heating is also more comfortable for the room’s occupants and does not create drafts like electric convector heaters. As a result, the Ionmax Ray will not dry out the air at home that can affect indoor humidity levels and cause dry skin, dry eyes, cracked lips, and respiratory ailments.

The Ionmax Ray makes a great heating solution not only for homes, but also for workplaces and offices, and large areas that would benefit from focused heating in the winter such as warehouses, homes undergoing renovation and garages.
