Noventus pursues growth in Defence and Telecommunications

Melbourne, Australia - July 2016 - Noventus has announced the appointment of a new regional Business Development Manager for Australia, as the Company continues to grow a wide portfolio of Defence and Telecommunications projects in the region.  In July 2016 Alan Jones stepped into the Australian Business Development Manager role, in a move Noventus says will strengthen the leadership of the business.  Alan Jones is tasked with positioning the Company’s Defence and ICT Divisions to support Australia’s Government, largest organisations and critical national infrastructure, and accelerating business growth.

This appointment will underpin a growing team of Noventus consulting multi-disciplinary engineers and logisticians based across Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide and Sydney.  “This appointment follows recent announcements regarding increased Defence funding by the Australian Government in the Defence White Paper, the industry policy statements and the Federal Budget, representing significant growth opportunities for our Australian business,” explains Keith Armstrong, Managing Director of Noventus.

“Alan’s skills and expertise in developing similar businesses will ensure we are best placed to take advantage of these and future opportunities, and reinforces our position as a leading Engineering and Logistics services provider in the Defence and ICT market in Australia,” he says.

Alan joins Noventus from global technology company Atos.  At Atos he held the role of Account Executive for Defence and Government. Alan has previously held senior Business Development roles with Boeing Defence Australia and KBR.  Alan is a former Army Officer and Graduate of the Australian Technical Staff Officers Course (ATSOC).
