PAYING JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT EASIER

Beyond Bank Australia is teaming up with Google to become one of the first banks to launch Android Pay in Australia.

The new facility will give customers with Android phones the freedom and flexibility to pay simply by tapping their phone at the point of purchase.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this unique function to our customers and have no doubt they will quickly notice how fast, simple and, most importantly, secure Android Pay is,” said Nick May, General Manger, Customer Experience, Beyond Bank.

Free to install, Android Pay also allows users to transact without having to open a bank app on their phone screen.

Instead, the phone just needs to be unlocked or “woken up” prior to payment.

Security is a key feature and this has gone one step further with every transaction funded by cards using Android Pay tokenized and customer’s payment information transferred seamlessly and securely.

“We're excited to bring the simplicity and security of mobile payments to Android users in Australia,” said Pail Bhat, Senior Director, Product Management, Google.

“Using Android Pay is more secure  — and much faster — than rummaging through your wallet for a plastic card.

“Starting today, Aussie shoppers will be able to use Android Pay at almost 800,000 contactless payment terminals across Australia."

Beyond Bank is pleased to advise that from July 14, Android Pay will be available to all customers and anyone who requires further assistance or has other queries can visit www.beyondbank.com.au for support and information.
