Introducing the AMT-N5540: customized for creative impact by Amtex Electronics
New from the labs at Amtex Electronics is a new customized panel mount PAL input TFT LCD, featuring component parts from LG-Philips and a large and bright 18.1 SXGA (1280x1024) display.
Applications for this flat panel display include a current implementation in the Presiding Officers Gallery in Canberra, where it is incorporated into an elegant multi-media information kiosk. It is used to exhibit a continuous run of archival footage, which is stored to a Compact Flash card as MPG-1 and run via a ViewStream DVP also supplied from Amtex. The system can loop up to 7 tracks with no deadtime between, differentiating the technology from VCR options.
Wide viewing angles and crystalline image resolution were critical for this high profile implementation, as was easy access to control elements for the display. An analogue OSD (On Screen Display) switch for adjusting contrast, brightness, colour and selecting PAL/NTSC video input is located on the back of the frame.
The lightweight flat panel display developed by Amtex features slim lines and a low profile making it ideal for incorporation into all manner of exhibition stands, multi-media kiosks and booths.
