Press release: KHQ Lawyers establishes family law team

Announcement posted by KHQ Lawyers 29 Jul 2016

Leading boutique firm, KHQ Lawyers, has been delighted to recently welcome Monica Blizzard, Kristina Antoniades and then Bonnie Phillips to the firm, establishing its new family law practice.

This new family law team for KHQ brings extensive experience and specialisation across a broad range of family law matters.  This experience, combined with a focus on helping clients achieve their objectives makes each of them a perfect fit for KHQ.

Asked what attracted her to KHQ, Monica identified the firm’s culture as a leading determinant.  “KHQ’s approach to its staff and work, and the firm’s willingness to do things differently were very attractive to me.  In particular, KHQ’s innovative approach to offering fixed fee solutions will enable me to bridge the gap to meeting clients’ costs objectives, while also better promoting their needs generally as well”.

Both Kristina and Monica are accredited family law specialists and mediators, with Kristina also being qualified to provide Section 601 Certificates in relation to parenting proceedings in the Family Court or Federal Circuit Court.

The team also specialises in GLBTI family law matters, including preparation of donor agreements and surrogacy agreements.

Family law is a new area for the firm.  Founder, David Kelly, said “A high end family law service offering complements our existing practice areas, particularly those focused on SMEs and family businesses.  It’s exciting to see this new area succeed within the KHQ model”.
