The NB750 two-port load balancing router helps small businesses to vastly improve the reliability and speed of Internet connections
NetComm, a leading Australian provider of communications products and solutions, has announced the availability of its latest two-port load balancing router the NB750. The new router combines the performance of two separate Internet services into a single network gateway, allowing business to manage their Broadband services with increased reliability, greater speed and flexibility. .
The NB750 is an ideal solution for the SMB market as it means a business will never be without an Internet connection if one service goes down the other one is available as a back up, said David Stewart, Managing Director, NetComm. The product is ideal for the many businesses that rely on their Internet connection and cant afford to be without one.
In addition to providing users with an uninterrupted Internet connection through the back up function, the NB750 also offers owners the added benefit of determining how Internet traffic is shared across a network. The balancing function of the unit means that users can determine the amount of Internet bandwidth that goes to certain devices on a network and which Internet service connection it goes through. For example, if a companys Marketing department are heavy Internet users they can be allocated a greater proportion of the bandwidth in order to maintain maximum productivity.
Alternatively, the NB750 has a number of pre-configured settings for Internet traffic shaping where it is simply set and the unit manages it without fuss.
The NB750 provides one LAN port which allows the unit to be connected either directly to a Desktop PC or to a switch for Network use. In addition, the unit offers the highest levels of security with an advanced Denial of Service (DoS) firewall installed to protect against possible hackers and other intruders. The device also has a Quality of Server (QoS) function that allocates bandwidth to specific applications or which Internet connection the traffic goes through.
With the Internet being such an essential business communication tool, the NB750 provides small and medium businesses with a safety net that is simple and cost-effective to implement, helps save money and boost productivity, said David Stewart.
The NetComm NB750 2-port Load Balancing Router is available now through NetComm product stockists nationally and is priced at $495 per unit, including GST. Product enquiries can be made to NetComm on (02) 9424 2070 or sales@netcomm.com.au.
