Southern Cross Credit Union wins two Northern Rivers Business Awards

Southern Cross Credit Unions professionalism and outstanding performance was recognised on Saturday night as they won the Excellence in Professional Services Award at both the Lismore and Tweed Shire Business Excellence Awards.

CEO Stuart Edwards said receiving the awards was a wonderful acknowledgement of his teams’ hard work, dedication and commitment to providing professional and exceptional service to customers and the greater Northern Rivers business community.

“Following implementation of our strategic plan some 18 months ago, the transformation we have experienced in our business has been remarkable and indicates we are on the right track.”

“We have been able to reverse the downward trend of the past couple of years to finish the 2015/16 financial year with growth in lending and deposits in an extremely challenging environment.”

In 2016 Southern Cross Credit Union is celebrating 50 years of Community Banking. They are marking the occasion by giving their customers the chance to win a car, and giving away three $5,000 community grants.
