Fujitsu to increase sales strength in western region with appointment of Bart Boaden

Fujitsu has strengthened its sales and service capabilities in the countrys west with the appointment of Bart Boaden as General Manager, Western Region. In this role, Mr Boaden will be responsible for business development and services delivery for the West Australian and Northern Territory markets.
We are delighted to welcome Bart Boaden to the Fujitsu team, said Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand. His appointment is a significant step towards increasing Fujitsus presence and professional services offerings in Australias western region.
We are truly excited by the wealth of experience Bart brings to the company. His experience will enhance Fujitsus sales focus and value proposition for customers across the region.
Mr Boaden joins Fujitsu from IBM Global Services in Hong Kong, where he was Asia Pacific Sales Manager for Integrated Technology Services, IBMs e-infrastructure line of business. Prior to this, Bart was Regional Sales Manager for IBM Global Services in Hong Kong.
Mr Boadens extensive international experience also includes several years in Japan working in the Office of the Chairman, President and CEO of Itochu Corporation, then the third-largest global Fortune 500 company. In this position, he was involved in negotiating market access and maintaining strong government relationships.
In Australia, Mr Boaden was previously Senior Business Development Manager for Ernst & Youngs national mineral, energy and utilities practice, where he worked on several accounts, including Energy Australia, Integral Energy and Sydney Water.
Mr Boaden also has several years experience in the public sector at both the state and federal level, including four years in the Senate as a private secretary to a senior Australian senator. His work encompassed foreign trade and business regulation issues, including the overhaul of the National Companies and Securities Scheme.
Mr Boaden holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Queensland and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Universitys John F. Kennedy School of Government and Graduate School of Business Administration.
