Vet Nurses Day is an initiative of the Victorian Nurses Council of Australia to raise awareness of the importance of veterinary nurses to both the public and to the veterinary industry. It is a day to celebrate and recognize the contributions of veterinary nurses to the Australian veterinary team, and to pets and animals nationwide.
The aim of Vet Nurses Day is:
· To educate the public about this integral member of the veterinary medical team
· To reinforce the value and professionalism of veterinary nurses to veterinarians and the public
· To provide an opportunity for veterinary nurses to acknowledge one another for excellent performance in their work
Here at Petplan, we appreciate the hard work that vet nurses do for all animals across the world, so we have created a competition to celebrate a very special vet nurse in Australia. This competition will showcase how vet nurses go above and beyond when looking after your pet, the extras they do at the veterinary clinic, or the special care they take when treating all types of animals.
The competition closes on the 10th of October with the winner being announced on Saturday the 14th of October. The successful vet nurse will receive a plaque for their veterinary clinic, a hamper, and a $100 Red Balloon voucher.
