Compass Claims Charity Golf Day

RELEASE DATE: 17th October 2016

Compass Claims hosted their 4th annual Charity Golf Day in association with Jaguar Land Rover at Bonnie Doon Golf Club on Friday 7th October 2016 to raise funds for the Day of Difference Foundation. After last year’s success it was great to see nearly all sponsorship packages sell out in advance.

The event was attended by more than 110 players from the automotive industry and its supporters along with special guests and sporting legends, including recently crowned 2016 NRL Premiership winning Captain, Paul Gallen; Cricket Legend and radio host Michael Slater; and PGA Golf Pro Lucas Parsons. Terry Kennedy of the Big Sports Breakfast MC’d the event and the Live Auction.

The group played 16 holes on the picturesque Bonnie Doon Golf Club in Pagewood, NSW with exciting chances to win at competition holes throughout. The most notable of which was the Hole-In-One, sponsored by Toyota Motor Corporation. An 86 Blackline was kindly donated as the prize for the lucky shot. The evening portion of the day saw great excitement around the live and silent auctions with golf clubs, magnums of champagne, an 8-day family cruise, and many luxury getaways across Australia up for grabs; everyone dug deep to raise funds for this wonderful cause.

As a result, we are very happy to announce that we have raised over $51,730 for the Day of Difference Foundation. Our highest donation to date, and a new record for the Compass Claims Charity Golf Day.

The Day of Difference foundation on a mission to reduce the incidence and impact of a child’s critical injury. With donor support, Day of Difference have already contributed to nearly $2M worth of research to determine how to do that.

James Frape – CEO, Compass Claims comments; “For our fourth annual Charity Golf Day it was fantastic to see so many people turn out from different businesses to support what is such a worthy cause. We struck gold with weather and this ensured that everyone involved had a day to remember whilst raising money. To raise over $51,730 was an incredible achievement. We have far surpassed previous years, and are looking to build on this for next year’s event. We have already had several clients rebook for next year and shall be soon releasing packages and dates for the event. For everyone who attended, it was great to see so many clients, suppliers and friends enjoying themselves.”
