PROGNOSIS Partnering with France Telecom into Airbus 40,000 phone VoIP deployment

Announcement posted by Integrated Research 23 Jul 2005

Now managing the worlds largest aviation and largest airline industry IP telephony systems
Integrated Research (ASX:IRI) announced today PROGNOSIS will monitor and manage 40,000 new VoIP phones for Airbus Industries as a direct result of Airbus awarding a five-year contract to France Telecom and its UK subsidiary Equant, to implement a Cisco Systems IP Communications solution.
France Telecom and Equant will be responsible for maintaining service levels and providing day-to-day support for this VoIP deployment, and PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager has been selected as the solution for monitoring and optimising performance and availability.
For Integrated Research, this represents an exciting new distribution partnership with France Telecom and Equant, and adds a significant new win for PROGNOSIS in the aviation industry.
Migrating Airbus from traditional private branch exchanges (PBX) to a fully IP-based telephony system will see Cisco providing IP telephone handsets for 30,000 extensions in France and 10,000 extensions in the United Kingdom. Cisco CallManager call-processing software will provide the operating platform and PROGNOSIS will provide the precise performance monitoring solution.
With over 150 enterprise IP telephony customers worldwide, PROGNOSIS has proved itself as the standard for managing the largest Cisco IP communications deployments. Management of the worlds two largest aircraft manufacturers is testimony to the business value and quality of our PROGNOSIS solutions. When you include British Airways through our association with Prime Systems, we can confidently boast that PROGNOSIS manages the worlds largest aviation and airline industry IP telephony networks. said Kailem Anderson, Product Manager - IP Telephony & VoIP Products Group, Integrated Research.
"In winning one of the largest managed IP telephony deployments ever, France Telecom and Equant now assume a leadership position in the global IP communications services market," added Charles Dehelly, CEO, Equant.
We congratulate France Telecom and Equant and look forward to our continuing VoIP solution partnership across France and Europe. Anderson said.
