LIWA Allocate Funded Aflex Inflatable Toys to Western Australia's Regional Pools

Announcement posted by Aflex Technology 17 Nov 2016

The allocation of Aflex inflatable pool toys to WA’s regional aquatic facilities will assist in keeping children more active and engaged at regional pools.
Up to 90 regional pools in Western Australia will be receiving an Aflex inflatable pool toy ‘George’ in time for the summer swim season, thanks to an allocation of funding from the Western Australia State Government.

LIWA Aquatics was allocated this funding with the express purpose of assisting regional aquatic facilities, through the Government of Western Australia’s Royalties for Regions. Royalties for Regions underpins the State Government’s commitment to developing Western Australia’s regional areas into strong and vibrant regional communities that are desirable places to live, work and invest.

LIWA Aquatics President Jeff Fondacaro highlights, “The Board of LIWA Aquatics is very proud to be associated with this project that will see increased physical activity and fun in regional pools across Western Australia. The allocation of this funding along with annual grant of $32,000 to all regional pools over the last three years has seen pools rejuvenated, programs developed and new equipment on pool decks. It is a great win for our facilities in rural communities across the state.”

Proudly New Zealand made, Aflex sealed inflatables are manufactured from custom-formulated PVC developed over the company’s more than 20 years’ experience supplying high quality aquatic inflatables across New Zealand, Australia the USA and beyond.

“A special thanks to Tony and the LIWA committee for choosing Aflex to be the supplier of an inflatable sealed toy - “George” for each of the regional pools this summer,” says Aflex General Manager, Karen Stratford.

“It is a great initiative by LIWA to allocate funding for an inflatable for each of these regional rural community pools.”

The Aflex ‘Georges’ are printed with LIWA Aquatics and Watch Around Water branding, and feature a new handle design with improved durability.

LIWA Aquatics are also providing an allocation of water test kits with the funding to ensure a higher standard of water analysis in WA’s regional aquatic facilities.

The organisation is proud to have been the conduit for the provision of this equipment and together with Aflex hope that the facilities benefit from their new equipment.
