Kyocera Mita launches FS-1010 ECOSYS laser printer with better features than any other entry-level product

Australias leading provider of networkable printers, Kyocera Mita, today announced the release of their new entry-level ECOSYS laser printer, the FS-1010. With better features than any other product in its class, the FS-1010 represents true value for money with a cost per page of just 2.2 cents.
The FS-1010 delivers a speedy 14 pages per minute, and a first page print speed of just 12 seconds. A powerful 200MHz processor makes the FS-1010 the most powerful entry-level laser printer on the market, enabling it to power through the most complex print jobs with ease.
The FS-1010 offers the latest in connectivity with both USB and parallel ports standard along with PostScript level 2 (KPDL2) emulation. In combination with the 600x600dpi resolution (up to 2400x600 with KIR2), the FS-1010 provides high quality printing that is guaranteed to impress.
With the addition of the optional network interface card, the FS-1010 becomes a network printer that can be remotely monitored via KM-NET. KM-NET allows the user to access a remote operation panel that provides all the functionality usually located at the front panel of the printer. Any user can check the status of the FS-1010 by USB, parallel, serial or network connection. The three-dimensional panel immediately notifies the user when toner is low or when the paper cassettes are empty. KM-NET also allows users to manage other manufacturers printers on the network the only printer management tool to do so.
From an environmental perspective, the FS-1010 is a winner. The cartridge free technology ensures less waste goes to landfill, the printer is designed to make recycling easier, it can print on most recycled laser printer papers, there are no life-threatening organic chlorine compounds emitted when incinerated, and the product is delivered in biodegradable Styrofoam-free packaging.
