Introducing the AMT-N5202 from Amtex Electronics
New from Amtex Electronics comes the AMT-N5202 2U 19 rack PC ideally suited to broadcast applications.
With the use of the Amtex PCM-4897 multimedia board, the AMT-N5202 allows for TV and VGA outputs, giving the user the option as to which one they need. The multimedia board is then mounted in a SH-1520 2U high 19 rack mount chassis, which protects and houses all main electrical requirements.
Incorporated in the AMT-N5202 is a 2-slot riser card into which an 8 channel ISA relay output card is connected. In addition to this the unit has a DiskOnChip for a solid state hard drive (small DOS application).
The AMT-N5202 is currently used in a Queensland studio to orchestrate interstate TV programs distributed from Sydney with local commercial content. Data displayed from the program being sent is digitally extracted to process specific details regarding the length of commercials, precise starting and ending times of the breaks.
The Brisbane studio uses both the VGA output and the TV output simultaneously, displayed on VGA monitors and distributes content throughout the station to base black and white TV units.
The features of the AMT-N5202 come with the additional benefit of local engineering support and the low profile chassis ensures powerful and stable performance can be delivered with a modest footprint.
