Sydney, Australia, December 19, 2016 – MUN Australia announced today their continued partnership with the Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) (BKFA). For the next two years, MUN Australia will proudly continue to support BKFA in their mission to provide a clean and safe birthing environment for mothers in developing countries.
David Teng, Director of MUN Australia, stated “Our relationship with the Birthing Kit Foundation has grown tremendously since November 2014. Being a part of the solution to improve the lives of mothers and their newborns in developing countries gives me great pride and joy. As we continue this journey together, we look forward to helping even more families and making a bigger difference with the Birthing Kit Foundation."
As a major sponsor of BKFA, MUN Australia will donate exam gloves, and provide financial assistance and support at events to raise awareness of the not-for-profit organisation’s outstanding work. MUN Australia’s glove and cash donations have allowed the BFKA to assemble over 140,000 birthing kits annually, with each kit containing a plastic sheet, soap, two exam gloves, three cords, five gauze squares and a sterile scalpel blade. The purpose of the birthing kit is to give women a better chance of survival during pregnancy and childbirth in poor communities.
MUN Australia are excited to continue their commitment to BKFA and see the possibilities of their glove contributions spanning the next two years.
