New Multi-function Devices Boost Kyocera Mitas Position as Leading Supplier of Document Solutions

Kyocera Mita Australia/New Zealand, the leading document management solutions company, this month unveiled its KM-4850w wide format Business Print Centre, and its intelligent KM-4530 multifunctional copier.

Kyocera Mita has also officially launched the FS-1010 SME laser printer (see separate release).

The product launches come on the back of Kyocera Mitas 67 % local growth over the past year, which has brought the company to number two position in the Australian laser printer market (source: IDC February 2001) making it one of the fastest growing laser printer brands in the market.

KM-4530: Multi-tasking, long-life copier
Kyocera Mita has also released the new KM-4530 multifunctional copier. This new 45 cpm (copies per minute) model is designed for high speed, large output volumes where high reliability and durability are paramount.

Built with a focus on long-life consumables and reduced frequency and duration of maintenance, the KM-4530 model has been designed to lower the total cost of service during the life of the unit. With a projected maintenance cycle of 400,000 images, this is 3.3 times longer than its predecessor, the KM-4230 model and the best in its class.

With a standard paper capacity of 3,700 sheets, the KM-4530 is flexible and scales to meet the most demanding organisational requirements. Additional options include a choice of a simple staple finisher or a modular document finisher, Print System E with network connectivity, and the Scan System D.

Copy speed of 45cpm enabling speedy processing of large copy volumes
600 x 600dpi copy resolution, 256 levels of greyscale read
2,500-sheet paper deck, dual 550-sheet drawers, 100-sheet Multi-Purpose Tray
Auto selection/switching and the ability to add paper while a job is running
Duplex functionality
Standard 128Mb RAM, 20.0Gb multi-purpose hard disk drive.

KM-4850w: Big Business Print Centre
The KM-4850w wideformat Business Print Centre with the optional Plotter/Scan System E, is a digital document reproduction system that centralises all copying, scanning, and printing functions.

Ideal for organisations such as engineering and architectural firms, where quality of graphic output is critical to market performance, the KM-4850w is capable of handling a wide range of originals from A4 through to AO size.

The optional Plotter/Scan System E with the KMScanTools/PlotClient suite provides scanning and CAD system output. Functions such as Scan to File allow customers to save documents electronically. Documents can be created, distributed, and printed at the point of need across almost all office networks.
