How curb appeal can increase the value of your property in 2017

Announcement posted by 360PR 19 Jan 2017

Abbotsford Property Expert, Cameron Nicholls and founder of Nicholls & Co Estate Agents shares how to improve your property’s curb appeal in 2017 and reap the benefits when it comes to sale time.

Cameron Nicholls, Nicholls & Co Estate Agents Founder and Principal says, “First impressions always leave a lasting memory, just like on a first date, the first time vendors see their new dream home it can be love at first sight. Curb appeal can also increase the interest, value and the sale price of a home.”

Nicholls top five tips for creating curb appeal include:
  1. Gardens – Ensure your lawn is manicured throughout the campaign and make sure the edges are done! If you don’t have a lot of plants you can look at hiring some to create a more welcoming space.
  2. Front door – A fresh coat of paint or new door handle can make the entrance to your home more appealing and even give it a pop of colour.
  3. Fences – If you’re appealing to families consider investing in a fence to create a sense of security and make the front yard a useable space.
  4. Letter box/street number – Make sure your letter box is looking fresh and that the number of your house is clearly displayed, this way people can’t miss it
  5. Coat of paint – A fresh coat of paint always freshens things up and gives a property a sense of newness and that it has been well looked after.
